Newspapers


The language has restricted code as it is aimed at working class and their language isn't as elaborated as middle class, another indicator of this would be that the paper is only 50p which is a very cheap price. the Target audience is the working class. Aged 20-55. this links to the political party related to this party being labour as they are supposed to be working to make working class people better off.

The visual codes featured in this story mainly is the picture of David Cameron looking very smug showing he doesn't really care about the working class families having to pay. Another code is the amount of money is the colour red and red typically means danger. Colloquial Language – This can being interpreted as ‘slang’ or words that may be abbreviated 

This newspaper will focus on putting the labour party in a good light so that the people vote for them over the conservative party. so they are making the leader of the conservative party look bad.
